We have not taken time to get familiar with the local neighborhood, so today we want to take a long walk. It is a beautiful day and we walk in a giant circle on gravel and dirt roads, up and down small hills.
A neighbor does metal sculpture and has his entire yard filled with his work. He has
been busy! There are a couple of other B&Bs along the road, but not as interesting as Borgo Solario and not sure if they are even open. How lucky we are to be guests of Sergio, Michelle, Leonardo, Vera, and Massimo.
We stop for some card playing, book reading and a picnic lunch under a tree in a field. I had packed some great cheese and salami.
